Meet a Client
EduCyber has been partnering with Complete Container Services for many years. We sat down with Abigail Brauer, Vice President and daughter of Bill and Rosmary Vetos the founders of the company.
How is Complete Container Services growing?

The real growth area right now is in container rentals and sales. People, whether for personal or business use, need more space. Customers are using our containers to store stuff and to expand their space. More and more, people are realizing how convenient our containers are because we can deliver the container, they fill it up and then they can either keep the container on site or we can bring the container back to our secure facility. Either way, they end up with more space to live or conduct business.

How has technology changed your business?
Well our web site has streamlined and improved our communication with our depot customers. EduCyber built an interactive database that allows our depot customers to monitor their assets with us online, freeing up four to six hours a day that we previously had someone on staff researching and faxing to customers.

What are the biggest challenges you face right now?
We want to reach as many people as possible with storage needs and do it in the most efficient way possible.  One of the biggest challenges to this is the fact that there are nationwide companies that have larger marketing programs and an existing presence in the market.  We are looking into a variety of marketing tools, but feel that making our website accessible and user friendly will most likely be the best way to go, since so many people utilize the Web for locating services.  Our goal is to work with EduCyber on getting our site ranked well on search engines and making our site informative and our services attractive to prospective customers.

What makes Complete Container Services unique in the storage space industry?
We are a local, family owned company that provides personalized, complete storage services.  Not only do we rent and sell storage containers, we have the equipment capabilities to move loaded containers and store them in our secure yard.  For people who don't have the room to keep the container on their site, we can offer them a place to store their goods until they are ready for them again.  We have a friendly, skilled staff that can answer questions, offer ideas and solutions as well as courteous, skilled drivers to deliver and pick up the containers.

How has partnering with EduCyber helped your business?
EduCyber IS our IT department. They take care of our internal network, our web site and our search engine programs. Over the last several years, EduCyber has found savings for our company in the thousands of dollars through efficiencies and making better use of the software and technology that we already own.

Call 720-275-4646 to make EduCyber your technology partner.

Hurricane Help
The wind quit blowing some time ago but the need continues. How can you help the victims of Hurricane's Katrina and Rita? As New Orleans dries out and rebuilding along the Gulf Coast begins, there are still people hurting and in need. There are still thousands of people displaced all across the continental U.S.

The Red Cross is still one of the best places to make a cash donation. Visit https://www.redcross.org/donate/redir.asp?HomePagemasthead092105 to make yours. Visit http://www.redcross.org to learn about others ways to help.
The US Government also has many ways for you to volunteer or make a donation. Visit the USA Freedom Corps web site for more information: http://www.usafreedomcorps.gov/
There's also a Katrina site at http://www.katrina.com/ that is trying to connect all kinds of help with those in need, from jobs to housing to donations.

There are also many religious organizations that are helping out in those areas hit by the hurricanes:

The Salvation Army: http://www.1800salarmy.org/
Lutheran World Relief: http://worldrelief.lcms.org/

Flashback

I had an interesting conversation with someone I met in a coffee shop last week about how technology has really changed our lives in many ways in just one generation. Think back, for those of you who can remember that far back, to 1985. Better yet, step into your mental time machine and step back with me.

  • Wow, we are on the cutting edge of technology. I just got my new mobile phone. It only weighs about 10 lbs and I can take it with me when I go places.
  • I haven't actually seen this thing called the “Enter Net” but I don't know as though I need to. It sounds like something researchers use in universities. In any case, there are only 2000 computers connected to it.
  • I'm thinking of buying a new computer. This Commodore costs almost $700 but it is one of most powerful computers money can buy. It has a 5 Megabyte hard drive! Check out the 2 floppy disk drives. Aren't they cool?
  • But this IBM computer running PC-DOS is pretty cool, too. I just heard that Microsoft and IBM are developing a brand new operating system called OS/2. This Windows program that was just released in November of this year that Microsoft has been working on will just be discontinued as they develop this new operating system.
  • Maybe I should get an Apple computer. Their first computer was pretty cool but this Lisa model they've got out now isn't very impressive. And the two guys that started Apple, Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs have both left the company so I don't know how viable it will be.
  • The Intel company has just created a powerful new chip called the 80386. These 386's will change the way computers work because it is so powerful.
  • I just saw how a new computer company called Gateway 2000 is based in South Dakota .
  • I am also considering getting a new TV. These great big ones just came out that have 35 inch tubes. I don't think they'll ever need to make TV's bigger than this.

My how quickly technology changes our lives.
