Now that 2025 is pretty much done, it’s a good chance to pause and look at how your website and marketing actually worked for you this year. Not in a super technical way, just asking yourself, “Did this help my business? Did it bring in customers? Was it worth the effort?”
Here are a few things you can go through at your own pace (and of course, we can help if you want):
1. Checking How Your Website Feels to Use
Open your site the way a customer would. Does it load fast? Does it behave weird on a phone? Sometimes you don’t notice issues until you actually click around. If it feels a little old or slow, that can affect conversions and search results more than people think.
2. Looking at SEO and Your Content
Take a look at your search traffic this year. Did any important pages go up or down? Are people still searching for the topics you wrote about, or has the trend shifted a bit? You might find a few pages that could use an update, or some that did well and only need small tweaks.
3. How Your Emails Performed
Check your open rates and clicks from 2025. You’ll probably see a pattern, some emails people loved and others… not so much. Also, take a quick look at your email list. Sometimes cleaning it up helps more than you’d expect.
4. Reviewing Social Media
Scroll through what you posted this year. Which posts got comments or shares? Which platforms brought actual leads instead of just “likes”? You might notice your audience reacts better to certain types of content or a certain posting style.
5. Paid Ads and What They Returned
If you ran ads, check how much you spent versus what you got out of it. Some keywords or campaigns probably did great, and others may not have landed. That’s normal. Use what you see to adjust your budget and targeting for next year.
